Prospective immigrants having the skills and expertise sought by the province may be eligible for a Newfoundland and Labrador provincial nomination through these paths.

There are five immigration streams that immigrants to New Brunswick province can choose from.

1. Newfoundland and Labrador Express Entry Skilled Worker

Skilled workers with a guaranteed job offer in NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B professions who are in the federal Express Entry pool may be able to apply for the Express Entry Skilled Worker stream of the NLPNP.

2. Skilled Worker Category

The Skilled Worker stream of the NLNP invites experienced employees of all NOC Skill Levels to apply for provincial nomination. This is only achievable if they have a guaranteed employment offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador company. The candidate must possess a certain skill set that meets the requirements of the organization from which they are given full-time employment.

3. International Graduate Category

Graduates of eligible post-secondary schools who wish to stay in Canada on a Post-Graduate Work Permit may be eligible to apply for the NLNP International Graduate program. A job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador company in their field of study or full-time employment is a necessary eligibility criterion for this stream.

4. International Entrepreneur Category

Foreign nationals with prior business ownership and management experience who seek to invest in acquiring and operating a business in Newfoundland and Labrador can apply under this category. Applicants must have prior company management expertise. Also, a substantial personal net worth.

5. International Graduate Entrepreneur Category

Foreign nationals who have completed a two-year post-secondary program in Newfoundland and Labrador and have at least one year of experience operating and managing a business in the province can apply through this category.

6. Atlantic Immigration Program

New Brunswick is one of four Atlantic provinces collaborating with the federal government to recruit foreign workers to fill labour shortages in the region. Foreign nationals interested in the Atlantic Immigration Program may be residents overseas or in Canada on temporary status at the time of application.
