The Canadian province of Yukon is historically famous. A low population and burgeoning economy make it an ideal choice for immigrants who like the outdoors and value strong community ties.
Yukon PNP Overview
The Yukon PNP is a rugged mountainous and remote region in the northwest of Canada. The province has a low population mostly centered around the capital city of Whitehorse and other cities like Dawson City and Watson Lake.
The mining of lead, zinc, copper, and gold dominates the economy in this province. The government is the territory’s largest single employer. There are numerous work prospects, notably in mining, and the job market is generally secure due to the government’s control of the industry. Vibrant and untouched wilderness makes this province a tourist hotspot. Hence, tourism has a big impact on the economy.
Prospective immigrants with the necessary skills and experience may be eligible for a provincial nomination under Yukon PNP, formally known as the Yukon Nominee Program (YNP). The Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) is a set of immigration channels that allow foreign persons to become permanent citizens of Canada.
The Yukon province has five immigration channels.
Yukon PNP Express Entry
Applicants having an active Express Entry profile and a legitimate employment offer from a Yukon business can apply for a provincial nomination from Yukon through the Yukon Express Entry stream. Skilled employees from the federal Express Entry pool can apply through this stream for permanent residence in a more expedited manner.
Yukon Skilled Worker
The Yukon Skilled Worker Stream allows the province’s government to nominate persons who have obtained a job offer in a skilled position from a Yukon firm. Candidates can apply directly to IRCC for Canadian permanent residence when they receive a provincial nomination through this route.
Yukon Critical Impact Worker
Eligible candidates with semi-skilled work experience and a legitimate employment offer from a Yukon firm can be nominated through this stream. Receiving a provincial nomination through this route enables the candidate to apply directly to IRCC for Canadian permanent residence.
Yukon Business Nominee
Immigrants with commercial and entrepreneurial skills who want to own and operate a business in the Yukon can apply for permanent residence through the Yukon Business Nominee stream. In addition to completing other program conditions, applicants must have a minimum personal net worth of CAD 500,000.
Yukon Community Pilot
The Yukon Community Pilot (YCP) is a brand-new component of the Yukon Nominee Program. The province has certain distinct economic and labour market demands.
