The province of New Brunswick is located on the eastern coast of Canada, and has several unique Provincial Nominee Programs. These programs have been designed to fill the labour gaps in the province. It also allows approved immigrants to contribute to the local economies and communities.

New Brunswick PNP Overview

New Brunswick PNP is the largest Canadian maritime province. Also, with around 30 percent of the population speaking in French, the province is the only official bilingual province of Canada.

New Brunswick has strong career prospects and a reasonable cost of living. The province has several large cities such as Fredericton, Saint John, and Moncton. Immigrants can settle in these cities or move to smaller towns. Several magnificent lakes and rivers are found in this province. Subsequently, it allows for great outdoor activities.

Through the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP), people with the skills and experience targeted by the province may receive a New Brunswick provincial nomination certificate. This nomination helps immigrants to Canada apply for Canadian permanent residence.

There are five immigration streams that immigrants to New Brunswick province can choose from.

1) Express Entry Stream

The New Brunswick Express Entry Labour Market Stream (EELMS) offers highly skilled persons who have shown an interest in the stream a path to permanent residency. The processing time of immigration petitions is shorter for successful candidates under this pathway as it is linked to the federal Express Entry immigration system.

2) Skilled Workers Stream

Highly skilled foreign workers with a valid job offer from a New Brunswick employer can apply for permanent residency in Canada through this stream. Subsequently, a full-time and permanent job offer is necessary.

3) Business Immigration Stream

The New Brunswick Entrepreneurial Stream seeks experienced business owners or senior business managers who are willing to invest in and manage a New Brunswick firm. Applicants must have a considerable net worth. They must also be ready to use their business management skills to establish a new firm or acquire an existing business in New Brunswick to qualify.

The New Brunswick Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial Stream is another business immigration stream. It has been created for recent graduates of New Brunswick universities and colleges who have started or bought a New Brunswick firm and have been in operation for at least one year. If an applicant fits these qualifications and plans to live permanently in New Brunswick, they may subsequently be eligible for a provincial nomination through this stream.

4) Strategic Initiative Stream

As stated before, New Brunswick is officially a bilingual province. The importance of the French language is equal to that of English in this province. Thus, immigrants well-versed in the French language along with skills, education, and job offer can utilize this stream to gain permanent residency.

5) Atlantic Immigration Program

New Brunswick is one of four Atlantic provinces collaborating with the federal government to recruit foreign workers to fill labour shortages in the region. Subsequently, Foreign nationals interested in the Atlantic Immigration Program may be residents overseas or in Canada on temporary status at the time of application.
